Rail Passenger Traffic
Green Plus: positive test results in trainsTraffic is the basis of the European single market. "Mobility of goods and people characterises the quality of life of citizens." (Source: EU white paper). The central domestic transport carrier is the railway. By 2030, 30 per cent, and by 2050 even 50 per cent, of road freight transport over 300 km could be handled by rail and ship.
Furthermore, the European high-speed network will have increased threefold by 2030 and it will finally be completed by 2050. The intention is therefore to have moved the majority of passenger transport to rail by 2050. In addition to a uniform European airspace, a uniform European rail transport area is also to be created.
European freight and passenger traffic currently still covers 96% of its energy requirements with oil or oil products. Dependence upon oil imports is a cause for concern. As long as alternatives to fossil fuels are lacking, Europe has to live with this existing situation.
Green Plus can be considered for use in all trains equipped with combustion engines, to create significant emissions reductions, as well as considerable fuel savings.

GBB Deutsche Bahn – Fuel Economy
Rail vehicles with combustion enginesFrom February to April 2013, Gäubodenbahn (GBB) tested the Green Plus liquid catalyst on several diesel-driven trains from the VT 628 series, in direct comparison (with and without Green Plus), while strictly maintaining the test log and during daily scheduled services.
The logs proved that Green Plus decreased the diesel consumption of trains by an average of 10%.

GBB Deutsche Bahn – Exhaust Test
628 diesel locomotiveAs part of the DB group of companies, Gäubodenbahn, tested pollutant emissions with Green Plus on a newly reconditioned engine with a mileage of approximately 10,000 km. The tests were carried out at 800 rpm and 1600 rpm. The pollutant elements, COv1 and COn2 were measured. The table below shows a reduction of the COv value by 9.137% at 800 rpm and 16.667% at 1600 rpm, when using Green Plus. The COn value was reduced by 16.959% at 800 rpm and by 15.789% at 1600 rpm.
